    Kinkead discusses how second and even third careers are becoming the norm for older Americans. Increased lifespan is changing the rules of retirement. "The promise of vigor well into one's 80's and beyond has changed the equation," says Marc Freedman of Civic Ventures. "We need to have a richer discussion as a society about what role people in their 70's and 80's can play. I think the most important thing is we are inventing a whole new stage of life, in between work and retirement."
