Throughout the United States, many local communities have retooled existing organizations and developed new ways to provide connections and directions for Americans nearing traditional retirement age and looking for what's next.

The directory below includes, by state, lists and brief descriptions of existing and emerging Next Chapter projects and related programs. Many of these projects are in early stages of planning or implementation. Those that are being developed in conjunction with Civic Ventures are marked with NC. The directory also includes local programs working to advance principles and practices similar to The Next Chapter concept, but may not include all of the core elements or associate themselves with The Next Chapter name.
